FUTURE COMMUNITY IMPACT PROGRAMS

Back 2 School

The Driven2Greatn3ss partners each August with Academy Sports + Outdoors to host its “Back 2 School” program that ensures that elementary and middle school students living in low-income, single parent homes have the items needed to go back to school with confidence. Wesley hosts 50 inner-city, low-income  students at Academy’s Dallas location where they meet him, receive Driven2Greatn3ss backpacks filled with back to school supplies and are able to choose clothing and/or shoes so they can look their best on the first day of school. In 2015, Wesley hosted 30 students at his Back 2 School program and in 2016, he welcomed 60 students.

Driven to Drive Out Hunger

Many children in metro-Dallas face hunger and malnutrition on a daily basis. This problem is exacerbated during Winter Break when the schools close.  Many children lose access to the free and/or reduced school breakfast and lunch programs and also weekend backpack programs. By the end of 2018, the Foundation’s goal is to have provided 80,000 meals to children through the “Driven To Drive Out Hunger” program.

Spring Break - Goal: provide over 100 low-income children with more than 4,000 meals
Winter Break - Goal: provide over 200 low-income children with more than 5,000 meals
Summer Break - Goal: provide over 100 low-income children more than 16,000 meals
